What's an Ableton rack? >>> Ableton Live is a super powerful DAW (Digital Audio Workstation, like Logic, Fruity Loops, Garage Band, and Reaper.) Ableton's power is modularity, being able to set and adjust tons of settings and make super powerful custom racks. As a software developer, I spend more time building in Ableton than I do in C++. I custom design racks which you can download and immediately open in Ableton. You can throw these into any track without extra software and start tweaking knobs to get crazy sound.
What's a sample pack? >>> It's a set of loops or one shots, usually of a perfected sound that an audio engineer has sculpted to sound a specific way. They come in .wav format usually but can come in .flac, or .mp3. Wav is the most compatible and has the highest sound quality generally speaking. Some sellers let you download them one at a time while others sell in curated or themed packs. Sample packs are the easiest to use of any audio product. Sound files (wav mp3 flac aac) work in almost every audio software without any installation or plugin needed.
Hyperpop one shots have an intense, deep, and sugary sound. The focus is on making you feel like you're in another universe.
What is Hyperpop? >>> Charli XCX is super famous for it. It's been called straight up unlistenable noise because it pushes pop to the extreme.
Hyperpop features lyric repetition, high pitched auto-tuned earworm vocals, brash synth melodies, synth riffs, excessive compression and distortion, surreal and nostalgic references to 2000s Internet culture and the Web 2.0 era. It's a loosely defined electronic music movement and microgenre that started in the UK in the 2010s. Some producers use it as a meta-commentary on mainstream pop music. It has an over the top super sugary production style with tons of sound effects, vocal production, and super heavy bass.
I love SOPHIE, UMRU, Lil Kevo 303, TRNGS, PC Music, A. G. Cook, 100 Gecs, Laura Les, Dylan Brady, Alice Longyu Gao, Hannah Diamond, Danny L Harle, Lil Texas, Caroline Polachek and GFOTY.
Where do I buy audio tools, one shots, vsts, sample packs, plugins, or anything else like that? >>> My Gumroad! Yes obviously I love what I make, but there are so many creators. Many do sell here on Gumroad, so you can use the suggested page or the search feature here. It's the most exciting place for independent producers to sell their work. Some people sell audio stuff on their personal websites. There's also plugin boutique (for vsts and plugins, windows, linux, and mac), splice (samples, one shots, and loops that work on anything as well as audio plugin payment plans and serum and other audio plugin presets), sweetwater, guitar center, thomannmusic, and many more. Ableton also has a packs page. You can write all this down or you can just bookmark this page so you don't forget.
